Thanks to our clients generosity, Sanda in Bangladesh was able to buy food for her family!
Sanda's family receives an electronic voucher or "e-card" that can be exchanged for food of her choice in local shops. With your help, she bought rice, eggs, potatoes, dried chili, yellow split peas, sugar, salt, onions, turmeric and garlic.
The World Food Programme increasingly uses cash-based transfers to help families in need - transfers allow families to buy food in the market and be in charge of key decisions that affect their lives. Sanda and her family of 3 are among 822,000 in Bangladesh receiving support from the World Food Programme
